Whereas business cards used designs which were somewhat uncomplicated in the past, they’re now more intricate.

Business cards tend to be offered by sales individuals if they make trips to leads. Even if the possible clientele aren’t enthusiastic about the service or product at this time, offering them a business card will put the seed that may lead to them to use the company during a future time. This may also assist a firm build word or mouth advertising and marketing for their business. The application of business cards has evolved gradually. Their use goes back hundreds of years, and they were prevalent in China in the 1500s. Business cards have been routinely employed by European aristocrats. These types of cards would gradually grow to be an essential form of social grace, and several rules have been used regarding their presentation.

The use of business cards by everyday people is a comparatively modern trend. For most of their historical past, they were being commonly used among the higher classes. The use of trade cards started to be common in Britain in the 1700s. It was during this time that companies begin putting an importance on design and style. High quality design turn out to be widespread, and color producing was additionally accessible. Many enterprisers begin using trade card in an effort to sell their organizations to others. Various corporations sprung up who would mass produce business cards for an easily affordable price tags.

Today, the exchange of business cards amongst company people is becoming typical. Some people have got a habit of taking about their business cards for being offered to other people if the need come up. Although the usage of business cards is usually associated with entrepreneurs, there are a number of people which collect business cards much like artwork. The proportions of a business card ought to be the same as a credit card, and may usually be 85.60 x 53.98. They ought to easily be able to fit in a business card wallet or purse. Numerous business cards are now being designed that have good quality photographs. Many huge organizations will make use of a trademark color for their cards, while some make certain their cards are imprinted.

CMYK is commonly employed for modern day business cards. Those colors are magenta, cyan, black, and yellow. The screens of those colors could be put together to make a more expansive variety of colors. Really the only disadvantage to the approach is tiny dots could possibly be observed if you focus closely at the card. Besides this, several card creative designers have begun putting in coats that are glossy on the card. This tends to guard the card and gives it an impressive sparkle.

Advertising Process
What is the sales process like for selling advertising space in a magazine or directory?

I work for a very small publishing compnay and we are working on an yellowbook directory. No one here is very experianced and i was wondering if anyone knows what a typical sales process is like. We are currently doing all of our sales over the phone but I have read in mutiple places that the bigger companies set up face to face meetings. I was wondering if this was totally nessacary and what steps are needed to actually set up meetings and close business. Any advice would help.

I have been on both ends of this biz..selling it and being called on to advertise. I can tell you that face to face works because they need to see that the competition is participating. If they choose not to then they will miss out on that customers business. I would schedule as many appointments back to back………..show them the product and convince them as to why they need this advertising. You need to do this to close a deal. I never bought an ad over the phone unless I called to place the order myself. And never sold one over the phone.

Online Advertising Banner Prices

Monday, August 30th, 2010

I need help advertising!!!????

I am working with a subdivision and we are trying to advertise, I have in mind making brochures, flyers and designs for billboards and banners. I also want it to be professional, I have no experinece in advertising but I am sure I can pull something off. I am looking for opinions or suggestions of those who have experience. Is there any programs I can use to make these designs or any company’s online that can make one for a good price?

Also, I went to a local shop and got this done, I need something more profesional and catchy.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a269/a…

Thank You in advance!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a269/aidin9/durangoestatesflyers.jpg

Well as someone who recently completed their advertising degree I hope I can give you a little bit of help. Brochures, flyers and basic print designs can be designed in a wide variety of programs. By far most ad professionals use the Adobe Creative Suite 3 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc…), but it is very expensive. The cheaper alternative is Microsoft Publisher, but it’s design capabilities are not up to those of the creative suites. Microsoft Publisher also has very easy to use templates for creating flyers, brochures, newsletters, etc… As another side note I don’t know your ad budget or where you are located but in general billboards are one the most expensive advertising mediums.

I’m willing to give you some more ideas and maybe even some design work if you email me at: ilovekylejohnson@yahoo.com.

For cheap work I would recommend asking other small business owners in your area who they like for freelance and small ad design shops.

Internet Talk Radio: a Great Communication and Advertising Platform

The dynamically changing world around us brings that instant urge within ourselves not only to remain updated with all the recent happenings but also to voice our opinions in such a way that it reaches the majority of audience. Ranging from serious political and socio-economic issues to sports and entertainment, we have our opinions on almost everything. Among various available media formats, an Internet talk radio is by far the one that gives the best platform to share our views.

An Internet talk radio is a broadcasting service that features discussions on various topical issues. While talk radios has always been popular among the audience, an Internet talk radio is fast gaining popularity due to its media of transmission i.e. the Internet. The talk shows ideally have a panel of experts with whom the audience can express and share their views. Both live and on-demand programs are broadcasted over an Internet talk radio. From the audience perspective, the best feature of an Internet talk radio is its portability and ease of usage. Irrespective of one’s location, an Internet talk radio can be accessed anywhere-anytime with a click of a mouse. Furthermore, one can even host a talk show over an Internet talk radio. Many Internet radio stations provide the necessary technology to host an Internet radio talk show.

An Internet talk radio also serves as a great advertising tool. While commercials on the television and the radio have always been popular, they have their share of drawbacks. Audience glued to a specific program on the television or the radio is likely to get distracted once the advertisements are aired during the interval. Such advertisement model falls short of serving its purpose. An Internet talk radio on the other hand transmits advertisements during the show itself. Advertisements are also displayed in the form of banners and links. A user who is interested about a particular product can straightaway click on it and visit the respective website for more details.

Internet talk radios provide an unmatched platform that gives audience the opportunity to share thoughts, voice opinions and interact with domain experts as well. For the advertisers, it is a great advertising platform. With all such benefits in place, an Internet talk radio is all set to become an essential part of our lifestyle.
